About the role

As the Senior Performance and Assurance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of Council’s annual schedule, legislative and operational performance reporting, and the Quality Performance Framework. You will support the monitoring and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practice standards aligned with local government requirements. A key component of the role involves providing high-level support to Council’s governance and performance functions, including participating in Executive, Council, and Committee meetings. In addition, you will contribute to the ongoing enhancement of Council’s quality performance frameworks through the development of strategic plans, policies, and the coordination of a structured schedule of service planning and reviews.

About you

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Superior written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the capability to gather, analyse, and interpret information from diverse sources. Strong interpersonal skills are critical, with a proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders. You will bring demonstrated experience in quality assurance, compliance, and business improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery and organisational performance. A sound understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines and the ability to apply them effectively is essential. We are seeking a motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative team setting while also being confident working independently to deliver outcomes aligned with team and organisational objectives.
