About the roles

Do you hold an approved Early Childhood qualification and want the flexibility to choose how many days a week you work? If so, you might be interested in joining our casual pool! We are seeking passionate and flexible educators to cover educator leave across multiple locations in central Victoria. Our Council manages eight kindergartens located in Kyneton, Woodend, Lancefield, Romsey, Riddells Creek, Macedon, and Gisborne, offering quality programs for three and four-year-old children during school terms. Programs start at 8:30 am, with staff shifts beginning at 8:00 am. The 7.5-hour programs finish at 4:00 pm, and staff wrap up by 4:30 pm. We offer a variety of shift times, including lunch break cover from 1.5–3 hours, and additional assistant roles depending on the kindergarten’s needs. This role offers the chance to work across all locations or at a selected kindergarten in a vibrant, semi-rural community known for its natural beauty, historic towns, and strong community life.

About you 

We are looking for an Early Childhood Educators who are passionate about fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, and genuinely enjoys working with children, with the creativity to make learning both fun and meaningful. Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves collaborating with parents, families, and other educators to support each child’s development. A successful candidate is highly organised, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning, with a deep understanding of child development principles and a focus on fostering social, emotional, and cognitive growth in a safe and supportive setting.
