About the role

This is an opportunity to bring your proven leadership skills to a dynamic Local Laws team. You will provide guidance, training, and support to the team in responding to, investigating and resolving issues of safety and amenity in the Shire ensuring effective and efficient service delivery over animal management and welfare, littering and waste, parking and local law matters. You will drive a positive team culture with a customer focused approach ensuring delivery of a responsive, effective and efficient service. This is a dynamic role combining operational management with field-based work. Working with your peers you will drive process and service improvements for the team and the community.

About you

We are seeking an experienced people leader with a collaborative and coaching leadership style that brings out the best in a team. You will have experience working in a regulatory environment with a strong customer focus, excellent communication skills, and effective problem-solving ability. You will bring a high level of emotional intelligence able to maintain composure and resilience in an environment that can at times be emotionally charged. You will also be highly organised and a great time manager with a proven ability in leading others to consistently manage high workloads and deliver timely outcomes. Most importantly, you will be driven and motivated to ensure our service supports a safe community.
