About the role 

Swimming Instructors deliver council’s ‘Learn to Swim’ classes in the areas of preschool, primary, infant, schools, stroke development (squad), adults, disability and private lessons in a safe, structured and informative manner. Swimming instructors are responsible for ensuring the smooth and effective operation of swim lessons, delivering high-quality instruction, and adapting their teaching to meet students' needs. They must maintain accurate records of attendance and student progress as directed by the Learn to Swim Administrator. Additionally, they are required to attend in-house training sessions to stay updated on teaching techniques and safety standards. Council have opportunities for you to obtain the qualifications needed for this position if you do not currently have them.
