About the role

An opportunity to lead and shape our Shire by providing strategic leadership to improve livability through the presentation and usability of assets. Provide leadership to the development and maintenance of Council’s asset and building portfolio which includes a diverse range of natural and built community facilities. Council is continuing to develop the way it manages its asset portfolio and you will have the opportunity to lead the provision of sound asset management services that inform Council's Long Term Financial Plan. Lead the teams providing civil engineering advice to internal and external stakeholders, including on capital projects and major developments. Lead the development and implementation of key strategic civil projects - particularly on transport, water sensitive design and drainage.

About you

As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be able to provide cross-organisational input and solutions, utilising your engineering knowledge, relationship management skills and commitment to organisational values. You will bring leadership skills and experiences enabling you to lead and support staff in a measured, accountable and considered way that encourages each team member the opportunity to develop. You will have opportunities to increase your knowledge both within our organisation and across our region, intersecting with many other stakeholder authorities. Skills in community engagement are important to this role to effectively involve our community members in project development, and implementation. A Professional Engineer registration is mandatory for this role.
