About the role 

Join our team as a Team Leader Horticulture and play a vital role in shaping and maintaining the beautiful parks, gardens, and open spaces of the Macedon Ranges Shire. Leading a dedicated team, you'll oversee horticultural maintenance, enhance botanical collections, and contribute to the region’s natural beauty. Your expertise in horticulture, leadership, and environmental stewardship will help create inviting green spaces for the community while supporting Council’s commitment to sustainability and excellence in public space management.

About you 

Macedon Ranges Shire Council is seeking a passionate and skilled horticulturist who thrives in a team environment and takes pride in maintaining high-quality public spaces. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise in horticulture, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, along with excellent communication skills to engage with staff, contractors, and the community.

Macedon Ranges Shire is located in central Victoria, about an hour's drive north-west of Melbourne. Covering an area of around 1700 square kilometres, the shire is a semi-rural municipality known for its beautiful natural landscapes.
