About the role

We are seeking a highly capable and motivated leader to join our Parks team in a pivotal role that will shape the presentation, functionality, and long-term vision of parks and public spaces across the Shire. As the team leader, you will oversee the planning, maintenance, and enhancement of key community assets, including horticultural landscapes, botanic gardens, playgrounds, and park infrastructure. You will ensure these spaces are safe, accessible, and inviting, reflecting the high standards expected by Council and the community.

This role requires strong leadership and coordination skills, as you will manage a dedicated operational team, monitor service delivery, and oversee contractor performance to ensure outcomes are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification. You will also work cross-functionally with internal departments and engage with external stakeholders to support the delivery of strategic initiatives, capital works projects, and master plans aligned with Council’s vision for vibrant and sustainable public spaces. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead meaningful work that enhances community wellbeing and leaves a lasting legacy in the Shire’s natural and recreational environment.
