About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Team Leader Administration to lead a high-performing administrative team that supports the vital work of the Statutory Planning Department. In this key leadership position you will coordinate the day-to-day operations of a small team of business support officers, ensuring the delivery of efficient, accurate and customer-focused administrative services.

To succeed in this role you will bring: - Demonstrated administrative skills - Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating staff - Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Proficiency in the use of key corporate systems

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate as an effective senior member of the department by contributing to the achievement of team and unit objectives through achieving set targets, collaborating with the manager and other staff on issues, and promotion of unit services.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support a small team of staff to achieve individual, unit and organisational goals and manage team performance.
  • Oversee the end-to-end administrative processes for planning applications and allocate and monitor workloads to ensure performance targets and statutory timeframes are met.
  • Provide information to staff, stakeholders and customers regarding statutory planning matters and provide support to the Manager Statutory Planning.
  • Ensure the team uses corporate systems to perform work effectively.
  • Be committed to the continuous improvement of our processes and maintaining and building relationships across and outside the organisation with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure the team delivers a high standard of customer service in line with Council’s Customer Service Charter.
