About the role

Join an established building team and support the team to grow and develop their skills within the Building industry. You will deliver a range of building regulatory services to ensure a safer built environment across the municipality. This includes monitoring compliance with Essential Safety Measures and swimming pool/spa barriers, issuing Notices and Orders where required, and administering the Building Act 1993, Building Regulations 2018, and related legislation. You will provide expert advice to Council, management, and external stakeholders, and contribute to reviewing and improving team systems and processes for flexible, responsive service delivery. 

About you

We are looking for an established leader to support the team in building their knowledge and skills. You are an experienced building professional with strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and a commitment to safety and compliance. You have excellent advisory skills, can work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, and are proactive in reviewing and improving processes to deliver high-quality services. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are adaptable to a range of responsibilities.
