About the role

In this role, you’ll manage Freedom of Information (FOI) requests from start to finish — from liaising with internal and external stakeholders, internal search memoranda, coordinating document searches, assessing records, and making informed decisions. You'll also play a key role in supporting external oversight and review processes through efficient administrative support. Most importantly, you'll help shape a culture of responsible information handling across Council by assisting the creation and delivery of impactful training, resources, and ongoing support.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will have a strong understanding of the Freedom of Information Act and privacy legislation, along with strong analytical skills to assess documents and make sound, informed decisions. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities are essential, as is the capacity to manage multiple tasks under pressure with great attention to detail. You will be confident in promoting responsible information handling across the organisation. A high level of ethical judgment, discretion, and professionalism is critical when working with sensitive or confidential information.
