About the role

This is a key leadership role with Macedon Ranges Shire Council Aquatic & Fitness Unit, responsible for the day-to-day management and ongoing development of the Gisborne Aquatic Centre and Gisborne Fitness Centre. Working collaboratively with two other Centre Managers across Council’s 12 aquatic, fitness and leisure facilities, you will have the opportunity to shape contemporary, community-focused services that support health, wellbeing and participation. With a strong focus on engagement, continuous improvement and commercial sustainability, this role plays a vital part in delivering high-quality facilities that meet the diverse needs of the MRSC community.

You are a collaborative and people-focused leader with strong business acumen and a passion for community health and wellbeing. You bring proven experience in aquatic and/or fitness facility operations, financial and people management, and thrive on improving services through innovation, partnerships and customer insight. Macedon Ranges Shire is located in central Victoria, about an hour's drive north-west of Melbourne. Covering an area of around 1700 square kilometres, the shire is a semi-rural municipality known for its beautiful natural landscapes.
