About the role

Lead the development and delivery of Council’s community engagement framework, ensuring inclusive and effective participation for our community. Drive strategic stakeholder engagement, oversee communications across all platforms, and support evaluation of engagement outcomes across the organisation.

About you

You will bring strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, applying sound judgment even in complex situations. You will demonstrate advanced analytical capabilities, strategic management expertise, and the interpersonal and collaborative acumen to foster teamwork, motivate others, and navigate diverse stakeholder environments.

Macedon Ranges Shire is located in central Victoria, about an hour's drive north-west of Melbourne. Covering an area of around 1700 square kilometres, the shire is a semi-rural municipality known for its beautiful natural landscapes. The shire has an estimated population of around 51,500 people and resides on the lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung, Taungurung and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung peoples. Industries providing local employment in the shire are health care and social assistance, education and training, retail trade, agriculture, forestry and fishing. Tourism is also acknowledged as an important and growing industry for the shire.
