About the role
This is a collaborative and rewarding opportunity where you’ll work closely with leaders across a diverse range of services to strengthen compliance, reduce risk, and deliver practical, fit-for-purpose safety solutions. As part of a high-performing and supportive team, you’ll build strong relationships and influence meaningful behavioural change across the organisation.

You’ll take a hands-on, business partnering approach—supporting leaders to embed safe work practices, enhance systems, and drive continuous improvement.

About you
You thrive in a partnering role and enjoy working with people at all levels of an organisation. You’re confident influencing others, naturally collaborative, and bring a practical, solutions-focused mindset backed by strong technical expertise.

You will bring:
• Proven ability to consult, influence and motivate stakeholders to drive positive safety behaviours
• Strong knowledge of contemporary OHS practices, systems and legislation, and the ability to apply them in real-world settings
• Experience conducting audits, inspections and risk assessments, with a focus on practical improvements
• Well-developed analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands
• A collaborative, team-focused approach and the ability to work effectively in a professional, confidential environment

We support flexible working arrangements. This role is initially office-based for onboarding, with hybrid work available in the future once established in the role, subject to manager approval and operational needs.

Macedon Ranges Shire is located in central Victoria, about an hour's drive north-west of Melbourne. Covering an area of around 1700 square kilometres, the shire is a semi-rural municipality known for its beautiful natural landscapes.
