About the role 

Ideal for a communications all-rounder who has a way with words, a knack for news, a passion for people and a desire for all things digital, the Communications and Engagement Officer role collaborates with teams across Council to deliver of a range of proactive and reactive communications content. This role also supports the planning and delivery of public consultations, to inform our community and enhance the reputation of Council.

About you 

The ideal candidate for this role would have strong verbal and written communications skills; be adept at juggling and rearranging competing priorities on the go; and have a solid strategic radar in being able to identify potentially positive communications opportunities, or to be able to guide on a communications approach to address potentially challenging reputational risks. We're after someone who is adept in the increasingly digital communications environment, or who who is otherwise eager and quick to learn the different communications tools we utilise.
