About the role

This role presents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join the Macedon Ranges Shire Council Statutory Planning Department. In this role you will have the opportunity to experience a broad range of planning issues as you carry out statutory planning functions and facilitate high quality planning outcomes across the Macedon Ranges Shire. You will actively contribute to the Statutory Planning team by overseeing the passage of planning applications from start to finish, providing clear and timely advice to the public and council staff on planning matters, providing guidance and support to more junior Planners, representing Council at VCAT and contributing to business improvements.

About you

We are looking for an experienced and customer focused Statutory Planner to take on this important role of shaping planning outcomes across the Macedon Ranges Shire. You will be self-motivated and enthusiastic, have a sound knowledge of planning processes and related legislation capable of interacting with various stakeholders, and exhibit sound judgement and decision-making skills.
