About the role

The Waste Management Officer plays a key role in delivering and improving Council’s waste services, including the kerbside four-bin system and public waste infrastructure. With a strong focus on reducing contamination, responding to community concerns, and supporting waste-related policy and strategy, this role is essential to achieving Council’s waste minimisation and sustainability goals. Following the commencement of the new eight-year kerbside collection contract on 1 October, this permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful environmental outcomes and high-quality service delivery.

About you

You are a dedicated and detail-oriented professional with a passion for sustainable waste management. With strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach, and excellent administrative and reporting capabilities, you excel at addressing contamination issues, responding to public concerns, and working collaboratively with teams, contractors, and stakeholders to support and enhance Council’s waste initiatives.
