About the role
This role involves performing construction and maintenance of roads, footpaths, drainage, and other council infrastructure to required standards, including regular inspections of assets. The position requires operating and maintaining plant and equipment, ensuring daily checks and timely servicing. Working collaboratively within a team, the incumbent is expected to uphold organisational values and the Employee Code of Conduct, observe safe working practices, and participate in training, meetings, and emergency or after-hours work as required. As a visible representative of Macedon Ranges Shire Council, professional conduct and driver courtesy are essential, with the flexibility to undertake other duties in line with multi-skilling provisions.
About you
We are seeking a team member with a strong focus on workplace safety and a solid work ethic. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in civil maintenance or construction, particularly in road, footpath, and drainage works. A current Victorian Medium Rigid truck license and hands-on truck driving experience are also required.
