About the role
This hands-on role plays a vital part in keeping community spaces safe, functional and welcoming by maintaining playgrounds and park assets across the Shire. As a key contributor to the Parks team, it supports Council’s commitment to delivering high-quality open spaces that foster wellbeing, recreation and connection.
About you
We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented professional with hands-on experience in inspecting, maintaining, and repairing playgrounds, park furniture, and other park assets. You will have practical skills in safely operating plant, equipment, and hand tools relevant to park maintenance, and a solid understanding of Occupational Health and Safety procedures, including compliance with Australian Standards. Strong communication skills will enable you to work effectively with team members, contractors, and community members, ensuring safe and well-maintained public spaces.
