About the role
Play a key role in strengthening Council’s asset management capability by leading the delivery of high-quality asset data, systems, lifecycle planning and financial reporting that support informed investment decisions and sustainable service delivery across the community. Working within the Asset Services team, you will contribute to the development and continuous improvement of asset management plans, policies and frameworks, while ensuring Council’s asset information remains accurate, reliable and audit ready. The role is responsible for coordinating asset condition and inspection programs, supporting long-term financial planning and renewal modelling, and providing technical analysis and reporting that helps guide strategic asset planning and organisational performance. You will also work closely with internal stakeholders to improve the integration and use of asset management and business systems, provide training and guidance to staff, and support compliance with relevant legislation, standards and governance requirements.
About you
You are a collaborative and detail-orientated professional with experience managing asset data, systems and financial reporting across a range of asset classes. You have a strong understanding of asset management principles, including lifecycle planning, condition assessment, renewal forecasting and long-term financial planning, and can translate technical information into clear and practical advice for stakeholders. With well-developed analytical, organisational and communication skills, you are confident working across teams to improve processes, support system capability and drive continuous improvement in asset management practices. You bring a proactive approach to problem solving, a commitment to data quality and governance, and the ability to balance competing priorities while contributing positively to team and organisational outcomes.

We support flexible working arrangements. This role is initially office-based for onboarding, with hybrid work available in the future once established in the role, subject to manager approval and operational needs.
