About the role

We are a small, fun team, who work collaboratively across all accounting functions. We are currently seeking a proactive and forward-thinking accounting professional who takes pride in delivering accurate, compliant and timely financial outcomes. Reporting to the Coordinator Accounting, you will take an active role in the delivery of accounting services, including assistance with external and internal financial & management reporting, actual to budget variance analysis across multiple departments, budget, general ledger reconciliations, financial statements and planning, audit, FBT and accounting support for Council management and staff.

About you

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring strong accounting experience across financial reporting, reconciliations, GST and FBT compliance, general ledger control and budget variance analysis. You have sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and GST legislation, are highly proficient in financial systems and advanced Excel, and ideally have experience with TechnologyOne.

You’re an analytical thinker who delivers clear, insightful reporting, manages competing priorities with ease and meets deadlines consistently. You build strong stakeholder relationships, communicate confidently and proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, drive efficiencies and add value
