About the role

Are you passionate about the outdoors and enjoy working in a hands-on, visitor-focused environment? We’re looking for a dedicated Hanging Rock Ranger to help care for one of Victoria’s most iconic natural attractions. In this role, you’ll support the daily operations of Hanging Rock Reserve, ensuring it remains a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained destination for all. Duties include reserve supervision, engaging with visitors to enhance their experience, providing tours and information, and undertaking general maintenance, cleaning, and environmental care. You’ll also assist with fee collection, support events and activities, and represent Council with professionalism and pride. These roles are primarily required on weekends and public holidays and there may be the opportunity for some additional weekday work as well.

About you

Strong communication skills, safe competent operation of light plant and vehicles, highly motivated and self-starter, passionate about sharing knowledge and valuing tourism and the environment.
