About the role

This role presents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join the Macedon Ranges Shire Council Statutory Planning team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering the subdivision approval process for large and complex subdivision applications, acting as the primary point of contact for subdivision-related matters, providing guidance to and support to junior staff and providing expert advice to internal and external stakeholders. 

About you

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused planning professional to take on this critical role in shaping subdivision outcomes across the Macedon Ranges Shire. You will be self-motivated and enthusiastic, with a strong understanding of planning processes, and relevant legislation. Your ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, combined with sound judgment and decision-making skills, will be key to your success in this role.

We support flexible working arrangements. This role is initially office-based for onboarding, with hybrid work available in the future once established in the role, subject to manager approval and operational needs.
