About the role
This is a rare opportunity to lead Council's Creative Venues Unit and make a significant impact on the cultural life of the Macedon Ranges. As Coordinator Creative Venues and Programming, you will provide leadership across Council's creative venues, helping shape their future through cultural, creative and community programming that connects people and enriches community life.
Reporting to the Manager Strengthening Communities, you will lead a multidisciplinary team and work closely with artists, creative practitioners, community organisations and industry partners. You'll play a key role in creating experiences that engage audiences, strengthen communities and celebrate local creativity, while supporting the ongoing success and sustainability of Council's creative venues across one of Victoria's most vibrant regional communities.

You are a strategic and experienced leader who is passionate about the role arts, culture and creativity play in building vibrant and connected communities. You enjoy bringing people together, developing meaningful partnerships and creating opportunities that encourage participation and community connection.
With a collaborative approach and strong leadership capability, you can balance long-term thinking with practical delivery. You are comfortable working with a diverse range of stakeholders and are motivated by the opportunity to support creative experiences that make a genuine difference to the community.

We support flexible working arrangements. This role is initially office-based for onboarding, with hybrid work available in the future once established in the role, subject to manager approval and operational needs.
